EAST LONDON NATURE

Who said that London is a sterile urban wilderness? Just round the corner from where you and I live is a neglected allotment, some common land, a wood, a pond, a roadside verge a river bank. All of these are home to a hidden world of wildlife – hidden because we do not have the eyes to see nor the patience to wait.

Our aim is to bring together those who have sensed the possibilities of this world and want to know it better. We want to share our discoveries and enthusiasms and spread the news that nature is alive and well and living in East London! We do this practically by regular outings, by helping local schools explore their own environment, and by keeping photographic records of what we discover.

We would like you to join us. Apart from an interest in nature and photography, you need no special knowledge or skills.
